Yay, the bags have arrived at home. I’m quite excited. However my sister doesn’t like her bag so that’s a bit of damper.  Apparently it’s really huge and the colour that they said it would be is not.  Ebay here we come!  One more day until the brother in law gets his new ford territory. Way Cool!

Rammmblings

Another late bus night last night.  I was not impressed.  This morning as I was waiting for the train, I saw this guy walking past.  What a IT goth nerd.  I had a bit of a chuckle to myself and then contemplated all the IT nerds that I’ve worked with and I would say only 5% of them have been dateable (looks wise of course). I am in SO the wrong profession.  Recently, they had this great deal on at K-mart about digital photo frames.  It was a first there for $64.  I went to my local K-mart (or I call it gaymart (I love kmart)) and they had sold out of all 60 in the first day. I should’ve sent my sister down there to pick one up for me!! Halloween

I wish Halloween was big over here. I feel like getting dressed up as a creature and going out. It’s so much fun Halloween, however the street I live in at the moment, certainly does not celebrate it. They have lots of kids in the street, why don’t they just put a notice in everyone’s letter box and it’s a grove, so you can keep it to street residents only. Then we could all dress up. Now that I think about it, it does cost money so nah!! There are so many dirty men around these days, so I would not recommend it. I spent a lot of money this weekend on house stuff seeing I’ll be moving shortly. Sheets, towels, duvet that kind of thing. And I also got 3 more bags. The second one is for my sister, but she got the cream version not the turquoise. They should arrive today (tomorrow at the latest). The bus didn’t come on time today which made me 25 minutes late for work! But I’m not really too fussed. This weekend is a 4 day weekend!! My brother in law is getting his new car this weekend. So I think a trip maybe necessary. I certainly want to go to the movies to see either Good Luck Chuck or this movie - can't remember what it's called maybe Eastern Promises or something has Vigo and Watts in it.

Shared Accommo available!

I’ve certainly been searching this week for city properties that I can rent so that I don’t have to travel too far to work. One is quite close and I can see it from my office at work. The other is across the other side of the CBD still walkable maybe 20 mins. They both have pools and spas, saunas and gyms. One has much better facilities than the other. One is a short term lease and one is a full proper lease.  I will know Sunday / Monday if I get either. Wouldn’t it be funny if I didn’t get either. 

 

I do all my posting of my blog now from Outlook.  I hardly bother to actually log in to blogger. It normally works apart from yesterday when the picture of the bag didn’t appear. But doing it this way, I forget what I’ve said. Have I posted this? Have I posted that? Did I post the story on the spider in the train?

Da Book

Today I found a girl that I haven’t seen in a decade or so.  Excited I was but it goes in waves – facebook yay, facebook sucks.  Sometimes, I get so bored with it so I just send a shit load of crap to people. I’m sure they get racked off but it fills in my day quite nicely.  Tomorrow night I’ve got 2 places to look at one at 6ish and one at 7:30pm. They are both on the South side of Melbourne.  I don’t even think one of them is going to fit my queen size bed. The girl said it fits a double in OK.  But that is my first concern – if it doesn’t fit a queen then I’m not interested.  There are quite a few more places this week.  Sometimes, you just have to email them and sometimes I feel like I’m writing a classified ad.  There was this one nasty girl though that I went to meet her for coffee – she was big boned, worked in the arts and was criticising everyone she had seen.  I thought, god, the apartment can not be worth that. Imagine what she would be saying behind your back.  I don’t really think it’s proper to bag people like that when you don’t even know the person very well that is telling you about this.  The story is funny though I have to admit.  This girl came to meet her for a coffee and she had purchased a box of chocolates to give to the roundy girl.  Apparently, she was tall and skinny and the first thing she said to roundy was I’m not anorexic. People always think that I am. The roundy girl went on to say that she had yellow skin and that her hair was falling out. Please TMI!!

Idle Chat

Wow, this Melbourne weather is really knocking me around. Today I am still exhausted but it’s only a high of 19 degrees.  Even though I did the walk in the morning, I was so lethargic, that when I had to go to the local supermarket this lunch, I got on the tram which is 2 stops and then some walking.  Normally, I wouldn’t dare to go for just 2 stops.  So I picked up a 2L Sprite zero and am now sitting at my desk burping (hmm pretty!!) but rest assured, it is not loud, no one can really hear me!  I was thinking that I need some lessons in chillin.  My life certainly is not bad at the moment, but I can’t help but remain a bit negative.  I think it’s because I don’t have any friends here yet. I can’t really go out with my sister as she has a 3 year old and the brother in law rarely looks after him.  That certainly limits as to what we can do.  If I do go out, it has to be on a Saturday night as Monday – Friday, I won’t be able to get home due to transport. I know that once I find a place, then I will start making friends but it’s like I can’t even find a decent place. There’s some lovely places on Southbank that I would love to live in but it has to be shared accomm already established because I don’t have any furniture or enough funds to get some furniture.  I am also trying to save for a 2003 Ford Focus (they go for about 14 – 18k).  I would like one around the $11k mark so by the time I save 11k, they should’ve come down to my price range! I’m hoping to purchase it within a years time.  But I’m not trying to sound unhappy because I’m not. I love this city, I just wish some things would move a bit faster.  We have a temp receptionist and this morning she was like 30 minutes late then the selfish cow took the paper to her desk and read it there. I like to read the paper and thought it was odd that it wasn’t there.  She looks like a bore though.  I guess I look like a bore too at the moment with my lack of energy.  This weekend I think I’m going to another factory outlet mall.  One in Nunawading.  Last time I got this dope Espirit t-shirt for $10. Damn it was cool. I’ll be able to wear it in the weekends but it was this lovely blue colour – perhaps more like teal and went amazingly with my hair and eyes.  I hope this weekend will be chilly chill so that we can watch DVD’s etc.  Fairly lazy would be great but not so that I’m staring at the walls.  I think going to the Factory Outlet will stop it from being dull.  Especially on the weekend it will be busy as.  Yay, something to do J

Bring back the weekend

Well, the weekend has been and gone, unfortunately, I feel just as exhausted as before.  Quite a hot weekend temperature wise, on Saturday I got up, went for a walk, then laid about in the back yard getting a bit of a tan and also giving my feet the royal treatment.  Sunday I decided to walk to my local shopping centre in 30 degree heat, in jandals – a 40 minute walk.  As I was walking all that way, I went to 2 movies. Hairspray (as it’s been on for ages and I was afraid I’d miss it – in the end it was just a bit too musical for me) then rush hour 3 which I thought was great.  Then I headed into ezydvd picked up a couple of movies, went to Hungry Jacks and then my sister thankfully came and picked me up.  I went to the taxi stand, but there was none there.  Friday night I also went for a 40 minute walk.  It makes me feel so relaxed at night but I think the exhaustion is starting to set in.  It was quite hot overnight too, like 20 degrees, so it’s certainly starting to get up there now!  Though falling asleep on the train this morning made me realise I need another day off!

I did it

Okay, I did it. I did the unthinkable. During a yahoo session with my brother, I had a little cry while at my desk. I know, I know it’s not what you are supposed to do, but it was a combination about being f*d off, exhausted and also a feeling of helplessness. I want to find a place to live I really do and it’s just hard because I get annoyed as soon as I get up and also as soon as I get home.  I haven’t been eating much because I have not appetite and maybe today it’s just a bit too much. I guess I’m kinda dreading the weekend and spending all that time there. I will need to think of things to do in order to combat it. I think I may have to walk 40 mins in 34 degree heat just to go to the movies.

Grrr, the tether

My tether again is very short.  Last night after a long day, I wanted to sit down and just watch some rather lame television.  Instead, the nephew came in and started being annoying.  I don’t need this I thought so I went to my room and went into bed at 7:45pm.  There was a power cut at 4:20 am. I know this because I woke up because I have this iPod docking / stereo / alarm clock.  When you first turn it on it really lights up the room. So for some reason, I must have had a restless sleep to be woken by that.  Which slightly annoyed me – why bother going to bed so early when you are not getting any extra sleep in?  My muscles were aching though I had a massage yesterday, but I’m unsure where all the bruises came from in at my bikini line.  It was really sore and I couldn’t figure out why. I wonder if I had such a restless sleep that I was moving about a lot.  I don’t know really, but it’s really made me one grumpy miss e. I doubt I’ll say 2 words today.

29 degrees

Yay, it’s 29 degrees today.  I’ve got a nice lunchtime meeting too which should be good. When I tell people what I do though they don’t seem interested at all. Kinda like oh – I mean, I don’t get any free stuff like some companies, but they just sound like that’s not very interesting when in a matter of fact it is.  I guess if I said applications support, I would also think that’s kinda nerdy, but damn it, I certainly am not nerdy J and it does involve SQL, Cold Fusion and other great things!  This is my first day in the office wearing a skirt. I was a bit like should I or shouldn’t I because it’s really windy today also.  So on the way in I had to keep holding my skirt every now and then (it’s quite lightweight) so I know I’m going to get gusted today when I go to lunch which is about a 10 minute walk.

 

Not sure of this title!

I don’t know if it’s the right thing to do but I’m still getting threatening stomach pains.  I didn’t take any of the tablets that I got at the doctors as it said to take them after the event occurred. However I haven’t had it since, just really bad pains, so this morning, I took two tablets even though I hadn’t had any movements in that area. I don’t know if that’s the right thing to do.  My weight loss has come to a halt.  I’m not hungry, can’t eat anything but I just want to make sure that I get back on track by the weekend so I can start loosing it all over again.  Plus, I went to lunch, had Hungry Jacks then followed up with a trip to Krispy Kreme – bought back 1 doz donuts for the office.  Hmm Donuts…. I’ll probably be sick shortly, but oh well at least if I start the diet again on Saturday, I can get all the bile issues out of my stomach!

Diarrhoea 4 days and counting!

I have had diarrhoea since Friday.  It hasn’t been constant so I haven’t been worried about it. Until last night it happened again.  When I was walking home I was in so much pain I was crippled. I couldn’t move.  This morning I decided I had had enough of this.  On the way to work I popped in to a pharmacy and waited for the assistant to help me.  There had to be a really huge line! So I explain to her what I’ve got and she recommends a couple of things for me.  (I have even put on 300 grams as my stomach is swollen from the …. – yesterday on the train it was making the most horrible noises!) But then she goes to me twice, if you can see here in this section, it’s all the stuff for diarrhoea, well it’s really been cleaned out over the past few days.  I thought that’s great. I thought it was just me or my healthy eating, but now that I know heaps of people have it in this area, I feel a bit better.  Last night I was laying down on my bed and said to my sister. Oh, it feels like I’m in labour.  I don’t know what it feels like but I imagine it’s what it’s like!

Sick..

I feel almost shivery and sick now. This girl came to talk to me at work about an issue and her breath was SO bad that it made me want to vomit. I feel kinda gross now!

Silly Day

My day started off spastic as after I left my drink bottle on the train!  What a dork.  I really liked that drink bottle. It was black and silver and reminded me of the All Blacks for some reason! I always carry a drink bottle around and it’s 27 degrees today, I need a drink bottle! Just as well I have another one at home so I can use that tomorrow.   Last week I changed my diet and in the first week I lost 2.5kg. Yay, I’m hoping to continue the momentum this week. 

Finally ordered..

The other night I finally completed my credit card application form.  I really do need a credit card over here as my bank doesn’t have the debit visa yet.  I put the wrong phone number (work one) on my application and had to email the bank guy today to let him know.  He told me that he’s finished the card and I should receive it next week.  I also think he’s kinda hot in a bank nerdy type way!  Yeah, quite hot.  The have a low interest rate so I took that card at about 11.?% so that’s pretty neat.

Gagging for

I am absolutely gagging for a sugar free Sprite Zero but there are no places that sell it small which means at lunch time I need to go down and get one from a supermarket.  It is a wet day today but I’m rocking my new espirit jacket!

Go you good thing

OMG The Aussie dollar is booming against the US so away I went to www.strawberrynet.com to get my specials on!  I a bit of stuff too!  Some dermalogica daily microfoliant (salon size), multi active toner, multivitamin power recovery masque (or something to that effect – haven’t tried it yet but at $57, that’s something I will try!) but the best bargain which I got one for my sister as well, is 50ml Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant for $26.  And with the 12.5% discount I got even more off!  I love Strawberrynet.com!  I will have to see what the NZ dollar is like and see if I can order some more products.  I’m actually really excited at getting the daily microfoliant – mine had run out for like 1 month and it’s horrible not having it!  I went and had my CT scan done today – it only took 20 seconds to do.  Though I was lying there for a while until he started it.  My instructions were to have no movement in my face – keeping my eyes closed and also my mouth. I thought the mouth thing was pretty harsh as I can’t breathe out of my nostrils so while he was gone out of the room I didn’t know when it was going to start so I keep trying to breathe through my nose.  At one point I opened my eyes and took a breath! But my hands were rested on my lower stomach and I was trying to pump through any air I could so it was constantly moving.  My doctor will have the results tomorrow I might make an appointment for this weekend to see her.

I think I’m starting to hate Facebook.  I don’t spend too much time on it, but I’m really starting to dislike it.  It’s really because that there are people that I don’t want to know about and then you see their name sometimes as one of your friends has added them as a friend. So then you go and look them up and see if you can see any info, then I start to look at their friends to see if there is anyone else I know, then you find all these people that you don’t like but you now find they are all friends and then you know you shouldn’t have bothered looking in the first place but what else can you look at!

Stupid Ventura Bus Service

On an exhaustion scale of 1 – 10 I am about an 8.5 which really racked me off this morning as I wanted to get to work early so I left the house just before 7am to get the 7:28 bus.  I got to the bus stop about 7:20. Waited, Waited then waited some more and the bus didn’t even come. Yes I had to get my usual bus which leaves about 7:35 – 7:42.  So I couldn’t make it in to work early as I need to make up some time for tomorrow.  Then at every stop there was 20 people because of course, there was no 7:20am bus.  The bus driver ended up turning everyone away and I got my normal train.  I feel ripped off.  I picked one of those 1 seats on the train so I could rest on the pillar.  Put my jacket on and just relaxed for the 45 minute journey.  It’s only 9:36 and I feel like going home to bed.  Tomorrow, I’m getting a CT Scan done so I will be late.  I even have to stay tonight to make up the time L

Stomach Bug

This miserable feeling has now turned into a stomach bug, I’ve rushed to the toilet twice to be sick, but I hate being sick at work so I stop myself.  I’m still getting my hair done tonight but if I feel this rancid, I’m certainly not going to work tomorrow. After shivering, I’m now sweating. I’ve got a massage coming up and I honestly don’t think I should have one. If the girl touches me, she could get this really bad stomach bug too. I went and had a look at that townhouse. I Love it. I hope they don’t get too many people through so they want me!

Chilly seasons

The country I came from before was certainly 4 seasons in one day, but Melbourne is simply terrible for it.  A lady who has also lived here for about 30 years advised you never get used to it! So much so that I am sitting inside, winter jacket and my teeth are chattering.  I normally have to bring my winter jacket everyday as when I go home on the bus, by about 6:30pm it’s 12 degrees! Chilly! Even when it was 22 degrees earlier in the day.  Daylight savings is not for another 3 or so weeks.  I’m going to look at a flat today, boy, I hope it’s nice.  I am also getting my hair done tonight. Feeling a bit nervous about it still.

 

 

bah humbug

Boy I feel bloody exhausted. Everyone around here has germs.  Most of us came to work today looking like carp – sneezing, and one girl looked so bad she went home. I nearly didn’t bother coming as I felt really nauseous last night and still feel really dizzy today. I went and got a new face plate for my nokia 6288 today. I got a silver one which cost $20 only thing was that the stupid insert where you press the buttons is not really big enough, I’m going to probably have to put the black one in there!  It looks good in silver though. I would also like a white one!  I’m putting in some test data into a test database of mine and really the information is just so stupid!  I also feel like vomiting everywhere. My head is hot and my body is shivering.

Xmas.. Grr

I seem to have managed to put myself fin a bad mood. It’s still 12 weeks away but boy I’m dreading xmas.  For some stupid reason I took up my sister’s offer of having xmas with the in-laws.  They are just people you wouldn’t be caught dead with.  My brother in law’s sister is about 36 or something and shares the same clothes as her 12 year old.  Note: Both of them are quite fat.  I think the mother is a psycho hose beast.  She has really thick legs and wears a mini skirt that barely covers her bottom (talk about class!).  The daughter I think is also slightly retarded!  She just stands there and stares at you the whole time. Maybe she’s a lesbian!! Haha, highly possible!  She also has quite an ugly hook nose.  She is big boned and actually quite ugly.  Their family are a bunch of trouble makers and I’m not sure at this stage (and yes, I’ve got a bit of time to think about it) but I’m not sure if I should be factual / truthful on this visit or just sit there bearing it.  It’s not going to be a pleasant afternoon – at least the morning will be pleasant when I’m not with those freaks!

Flat Hunting

In the weekend I saw my first flat in the search for a place to live.  What a hole!  I am used to modern apartments at least a modern bathroom this place was a dump.  A 2 level dump and to think that these people have been living there for years.  The room was dingy with only one window which made the room very dark.  The people were like hippies.  It was a real shock. Now I’ve now discounted that area from my looking and going with my original ideas!
